Martyrs have been commemorated in Azerbaijan with a minute of silence at 12:00 p.m. today, APA reports. At the mentioned moment, the movement of vehicles on the streets was stopped, and cars signaled.

According to the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, every year, September 27 is marked as the Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan as a sign of deep respect for Azerbaijani soldiers and officers, all Azerbaijani martyrs who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan has assigned 119,000 monthly social payments to 106,000 people, as well as one-time payments to 24,000 people, as part of the social support package for families of martyrs and war veterans in the post-conflict period, Report informs citing the ministry.

During the specified period, the housing program for families of martyrs and war invalids was increased fivefold. Within the framework of this program, 6,200 apartments and individual houses were provided. In addition, 528 cars were handed over to war invalids.

In the post-conflict period, 11,000 families of martyrs and war veterans received social and psychological support and rehabilitation. In total, they were provided 67,000 services in this area.

2,204 people with disabilities were provided with 60,000 rehabilitation devices, including 488 people with 594 modern high-tech prostheses.

In total, 358,000 services were provided as part of the social support package, which covered 130,000 people.
