More than 28 kg of drugs were seized in Azerbaijan during the activities of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, Izzat Aliyev (born in 1997) and Rashad Agayev (born in 1981) were detained in the Binagadi district of Baku and the Imishli district, where they were found to have more than 28 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, methamphetamines and 400 tablets of narcotic content.
The drugs were obtained from Iranian citizens, whose identities are currently being established. The detainees intended to deliver the drugs to different addresses for material reward.
Criminal cases have been initiated on these facts, and by a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for the detainees. Measures are being taken to detain their accomplices.
