Suspects of committing a series of thefts from private homes have been detained in Sumgait, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. One of the victims filed a police report about the theft of jewelry worth 10,000 manats from his home.
Employees of the 4th police department of the Sumgait city administration identified and detained the suspects – previously convicted 36-year-old E. Akhundov and 33-year-old Kh. Gumbetov.
During the investigation, it was established that Akhundov, along with another previously convicted person – 35-year-old A. Agayev – was also involved in two thefts (cash and jewelry worth about 6,000 manats were stolen). Agayev was also detained.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
