Azerbaijani volunteers provide medical aid to victims of the earthquake in Turkey

As part of a large-scale campaign of assistance from the Azerbaijani state and people to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey, Azerbaijani volunteers provide various services to the local population, oxu.az reports citing the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation. Volunteers organize distribution of food, humanitarian aid and medicines at four different points every day, as well as help with cleaning up the area from waste, etc.

In addition, four tents for various purposes have been set up on the territory where volunteers work. A special point was also established where local residents are given water, tea, food and wood-burning stoves brought from Azerbaijan.

Volunteers also took part in setting up tents of the Turkish Government’s Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) in various districts of the city. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan visited the camp of our volunteers, got acquainted with the residential and service premises, as well as food and medicine stocks.

Over the past day, our volunteers provided services to residents of four villages affected by the earthquake. Also, volunteers from the AR with medical education provided medical assistance to more than 10 local residents.
