Sentence passed on the head of the company that appropriated funds for the construction of houses for the disabled

The Baku Grave Crimes Court held a trial on the criminal case of the head of Tua-TT LLC Tural Alyshanli, accused of embezzlement on a large scale, reports oxu.az. Article 62 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan was applied to the accused by the court. T. Alyshanly was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment. The prosecutor asked to appoint him 12 years.

Thus, in the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General, an investigation was carried out of the material received from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population about the failure of the contractor Tua-TT LLC to carry out construction works in the amount of 480,000 manats in accordance with the agreement concluded between them on July 19, 2016.

In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 179.3.2 (misappropriation or embezzlement on a large scale) and 308.1 (abuse of official powers) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
