Police operation in Yevlakh: 16 people were detained

Employees of the Yevlakh District Police Department are taking consistent and decisive measures to identify and bring to justice those involved in drug trafficking, oxu.az reports with reference to the Barda regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, during April of this year, the anti-drug group carried out a number of operations, as a result of which 16 persons suspected of drug trafficking were detained and brought to trial, eight of them were arrested by a court decision.

Heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana were found and confiscated from the detainees. During the operations, about 3 kg of the above drugs were seized from illicit trafficking. In addition, it was found that some of the detainees were involved in thefts. During the inspection of the places of storage, the stolen items were found in the detainees and returned to the owners.
