State Border Service: an attempt to deliver 87 kg of drugs into Azerbaijan was prevented

Within the framework of measures to ensure the protection of the state border, counteracting illegal drug trafficking, an attempt was suppressed to smuggle into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan a total of 87 kg 340 grams of narcotic drugs and 19758 tablets (13778 tablets of methadone M-40, 3480 tablets of pregabalin-150 mg, 2,400 tablets of namadol and 100 tablets of gabapentin) of strong narcotic drugs, APA reports citing information released by the press center of the State Border Service.

As a result of operational search activities, on April 25, 2023, at about 23:00, 28 kg 100 g of narcotic drugs (10 kg 350 g of heroin, 8 kg 100 g of opium , 9 kg 650 g of marijuana and 1000 tablets of methadone M-40) were detected.
