Attempt to smuggle drugs across the Caspian Sea from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

On May 3, 2023 at 12:50, the technical observation point of the coastal guard of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan detected a target moving from Iran to the north, APA reports quoting the press center of the SBS.

Thus, during the joint work of the technical observation point and the patrol ship, an attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan in the southern direction of the Caspian Sea was suppressed.

More than 6.5 kg of marijuana were found and seized.
