Put on the international wanted list extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan

Based on the petition of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine decided to extradite Azerbaijani citizen Elshan Gasimov in accordance with the Convention of January 22, 1993 “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters”, Report news agency reported citing press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

In the district police department of the Sabirabad region, reasonable suspicions were revealed that Elshan Qasimov had committed a crime under Articles 180.2.1 and 180.2.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (robbery committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy with the aim of illegally entering a dwelling, premises, warehouse, or other storage).

Elshan Gasimov was detained on the territory of Ukraine and deported to Azerbaijan on May 14, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
