Joint information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office

The press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office released joint information, Report news agency reported. It says:

“Next operational measures were taken to curb the criminal actions planned to be committed by a group of Azerbaijani citizens recruited by Iranian special services in order to destabilize the situation on the territory of Azerbaijan.”

It was established that Rufulla Akhundzade and his son Almursal Akhundzade, cooperating with the Iranian special services, carried out special activities in the country to organize resistance groups in order to create the state of “Kerima” by forcibly changing the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan by committing armed riots, organizing assassination attempts public figures and officials. As part of the plan, Rufulla Akhundzade created confidential groups on WhatsApp, Telegram and other instant messaging systems. In addition, R. Akhundzade and his son A. Akhundzade presented the members of the group with a list of officials and public figures to organize attempts on their lives, their personal data, addresses of places of residence and work. To this end, he gave tasks to members of the group to acquire firearms and prepare a “Molotov cocktail”. During the operation, 7 members of the Revenge 313 group were detained and presented to the investigation: Elgun Agayev, Ruslan Aliyev, Yusif Mirzoyev, Elvin Jafarov, Savalan Huseynli, Bilal Sujeddin, Magerramali Musayev, and other members of the group.
