Persons who put on the international wanted list were extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan

Persons put on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

So, on the basis of a request from the supervisory authority, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters” dated January 22, 1993, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation decided to extradite citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mahmud Elman oglu Ismayilov, Jeyhun Ibrahim oglu Nasirov-Zibai and Azada Vagif oglu Babashov to our country.

Since the investigation had reasonable suspicions that M. Ismayilov and A. Babashov had committed fraud causing significant damage, and J. Nasirov-Zibai had evaded paying taxes on a large scale, it was decided to bring them to justice as defendants . Due to the fact that the suspects fled from the investigation, they were put on the international wanted list.

These persons were brought from the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
