Ilham Aliyev to meet with media forum participants in Shusha

The Global Forum “New Media in the Era of the IV Industrial Revolution” will be held in the city of Shusha on July 22-23, 2023, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, within the framework of the Year of Heydar Aliyev and in connection with the 148th anniversary of the national press of Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to AZERTAC. President Ilham Aliyev will meet with forum participants in Shusha.

The event will be attended by 150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including representatives of state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations and media structures. In addition, 60 heads and employees of local media were among the participants.

Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to discuss topical issues of journalism and information and communication that are of global importance. Heads of well-known and influential global media, together with experts, will discuss new tools in journalism and communication in the digital age, digital transformation, media management in the modern information environment and the creation of sustainable business models in the media sphere, consumer trends and media literacy issues, methods of combating disinformation and fake news, the safety of journalists and other topics.

Within the framework of the forum, an initiative will also be put forward to create a media platform for the Non-Aligned Movement. Shusha, where numerous international events have been held so far, for the first time in the history of independent Azerbaijan, gathers the heads of the world’s leading media, journalistic organizations, influential experts in the field of ICT, well-known journalists on one platform.
