Raid against drug traffickers and organizers of opium dens, 60 people were detained

Another urgent operation against drug traffickers was held in the Khatai district of Baku, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the event, held by employees of the Khatai district police department, residents of the capital Fahri Abbasov, Parviz Rahimov, Khayal Huseynov and Dunyakhanym Bagirzade were detained. A total of 8 kg of heroin and marijuana were seized from them. The detainees reported that they purchased drugs online from unfamiliar Iranian citizens in order to further sell them in the capital.

In addition, a total of 60 people involved in drug trafficking and home-based opium dens were detained during operations carried out by members of the agency in June and July. Large consignments of hard drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from them.
