Conditions have been created for the Armenian residents of Karabakh to travel to Armenia through the Lachin BCP
Once again, conditions have been created for the free passage of residents of Karabakh of Armenian origin through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) through the Lachin border checkpoint operating on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on the Khakari River, Trend reports.
Seven vehicles and 34 residents of Karabakh, traveling from Khankendi in the direction of Gorus, after checking at the checkpoint, were provided with passage to Armenia in accordance with the rules. Of these, 11 people were members of the International Committee of the Red Cross, 12 were persons in need of medical care, and 10 were members of families accompanying them, 1 was a representative of medical personnel.
This once again proves that there are no obstacles from Azerbaijan at the checkpoint across the state border. Armenia’s statements and actions regarding the border are purely provocative.
It is noted that Armenian residents of the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan can freely pass through the Lachin border checkpoint at any time of the day. All conditions have been created for this.
