Person who detained in Azerbaijan extradited to Russia

A Russian citizen who is on the international wanted list and arrested in Azerbaijan has been extradited to this country, Report informs citing the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

The request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the extradition of Danil Pavlovich Taukin, a citizen of this country, born in 1978, who was put on the interstate wanted list on charges of taking a bribe in Russia, was granted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

D.P.Taukin was detained in April of this year and a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen against him.

In accordance with the Convention of January 22, 1993 “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters”, a decision was made to extradite the accused, D.P. Taukin, accompanied by a special convoy of the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice, was handed over to the Russian authorities.
