Person, who accused of high treason sentenced to 17 years in prison

Haji Pashayev, accused of high treason, was sentenced to 17 years in prison, Report informs. The judgement was announced at the trial chaired by the judge of the Baku Grave Crimes Court Telman Huseynov. He was charged with spying for foreign intelligence services under articles 274 (high treason), 281 (public calls for anti-state activity) and 283 (inciting ethnic, racial and religious hatred) of the Criminal Code.

H. Pashayev was arrested some time ago by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.
