State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan detained a terrorist who illegally entered the territory of the country

The terrorist Kamran Zulfugarov, deprived of Azerbaijani citizenship, illegally entered the country, reports oxu.az. Information about his presence on the territory of Azerbaijan was verified by the State Security Service, and after establishing his whereabouts, K. Zulfugarov was detained.

K.Zulfugarov was brought to justice under Articles 12.1 (Action of the criminal law against persons who committed crimes outside the Republic of Azerbaijan), 279.1 (Creation of armed formations or groups not provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as participation in their creation and activities, supplying them weapons, ammunition, explosives, military equipment or military equipment) and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and arrested by a court decision.

It is noted that K. Zulfugarov, who was born on December 14, 1983 in the Salyan region, left the country in 2013 and participated in armed conflicts and committed terrorist attacks in Syria. Based on the materials collected by the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in accordance with the law, in 2018, by a court decision, he was deprived of Azerbaijani citizenship and the right to return to Azerbaijan.
