Azerbaijani citizen put on international wanted list extradited from Ukraine

An Azerbaijani citizen put on the international wanted list has been extradited from Ukraine to our country, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Abulfat Alekperov in accordance with the requirements of the 1957 European Convention “On Extradition” was granted by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

It is noted that A. Alekperov, accused of illegal sale of drugs, was put on the international wanted list for evading the investigation. On August 11, he was delivered from Ukraine to Azerbaijan, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
