Prevented drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan across the Caspian Sea

On August 12, 2023, as a result of the activities of the coast guard forces of the State Border Service, the smuggling of drugs from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the southern direction of the Caspian Sea was prevented, minval.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service.

Thus, as a result of operational activities carried out in the territory of the village of Narimanabad, Lankaran region, a resident of the city of Sumgayit Aliyev, Eduard Rahman oglu, born in 1993, and a resident of the village of Godman, Masalli region, Alizade Nuraddin Shirvan, born in 1992, were detained. They were seized drugs with a total weight of 11 kilograms 592.44 gr.

In fact, operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
