The Prosecutor General’s Office protested the judgement against the former head of the Sabail municipality

The Prosecutor General’s Office filed an appeal against the verdict of the Baku Grave Crimes Court dated August 8, 2023 in connection with the acquittal of the ex-chairman of the Sabail municipality Ahmed Huseynov, as well as due to an incomplete assessment of the criminal act in which he is accused. This was reported by oxu.az with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The verdict on the former chairman of the Sabail municipality, Ahmed Huseynov, was passed on August 8, 2023 at a meeting of the Baku Grave Crimes Court chaired by Judge Muhammad Akberov. According to the verdict, the accused was acquitted due to the lack of evidence on the charges brought against him.

The prosecutor demanded that the defendant be sentenced to 5 years in prison.
