The opening of a complete secondary school No. 1 named after Mirza Ulugbek took place in Fizuli

On August 23, 2023, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his wife Ziroathon Mirziyoyeva attended the opening ceremony of the complete secondary school number 1 named after Mirza Ulugbek, built in Fuzuli, oxu.az reports with reference to AZERTAC. First, the heads of state and their spouses spoke with the students who will begin their studies at this school in the new academic year, and the teachers who will work here.

The portal notes that the construction of this school, which is a confirmation of the words of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “Azerbaijan is a close friend and reliable strategic partner for us, tested by time”, testifies to the high level of relations between the two fraternal countries. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also assessed Uzbekistan’s initiative to build a large school in the Fizuli region as another step of solidarity, friendship and brotherhood between our countries.
