Murder suspect detained

On August 24, 2023, at about 22:00, the district prosecutor’s office received information about the death of Kenul Jafarova, a resident of the Surakhani district of Baku, born in 1977, Report informs citing the prosecutor’s office of the Surakhani district.

Thus, during the investigation, reasonable suspicions were established that Sabuhi Huseynov, born in 1986, deliberately killed his friend Kyonul Jafarova, strangling her during a quarrel between them. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code, and Sabuhi Huseynov was arrested as a suspect.

A preliminary investigation is currently ongoing.
