Azerbaijani citizen put on international wanted list extradited from Ukraine to his homeland

An Azerbaijani, put on the international wanted list, was detained in Ukraine, Report informs citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It is noted that in accordance with the requirements of the European Convention “On Extradition” dated December 13, 1957, the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine granted the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Nasirov Khayal Sakhavat oglu.

Since reasonable suspicions were revealed that Khayal Nasirov committed embezzlement using his official position and causing significant damage, he was put on the international wanted list.

On August 25, 2023, Khayal Nasirov, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, was taken from Ukraine to Azerbaijan.
