Persons engaged in theft and sale of drugs detained

Suspects of committing thefts and illegal drug trafficking were detained in the Fizuli region, oxu.az reports with reference to the Barda regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, as a result of operations carried out in recent days, employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the RUP detained eight persons suspected of committing thefts.

It was established that Nemat Hagverdiyev, Farida Ragimova, Vusal Badalov, Hikmet Tagiyev, Musa Khatamov, Gardash Gyulmaliyev, Natig Gaziyev and Maharram Rustamov stole from shops, warehouses and houses located in the district, causing damage to citizens totaling about 50,000 manats.

Law enforcement officers continue to take appropriate measures to eliminate the damage caused.

During another operation, a foreign citizen suspected of drug trafficking was detained. It turned out to be a resident of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Farhadi. During a body search, marijuana was found and confiscated from the man.

According to these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, investigations are ongoing.
