Narcotics police operation: many drug traffickers detained

Over the past three months, officers of the Guba district police department have carried out operations, as a result of which 46 suspects of drug trafficking and cultivation of narcotic plants were detained on 70 facts, oxu.az reports citing the country’s Interior Ministry.

In total, about 11 kg of marijuana, about 5 kg of heroin, methamphetamine and methadone tablets, as well as 95 hemp bushes with a total weight of 37 kg were seized from illicit trafficking. In addition, as a result of operational control and preventive measures in various areas of the region, 11,455 hemp bushes with a total weight of 8 tons were found and destroyed.

According to these facts, investigations are being carried out in the Guba district police department .
