Suspect persons of theft from a state institution and illegal possession of weapons were detained

The Hajigabul district police department received information about the theft of an electric generator from the administrative building of the local telecommunications center of the Aztelekom production association located in the village of Atbulag, oxu.az reports citing the Shirvan regional group of the press service of the country’s Interior Ministry.

Thus, as a result of operational search activities carried out by police officers, a resident of the Hajigabul region Vahid Zairov and a resident of Baku Rovshan Heydarov were detained. During the initial interrogation, the detainees confessed to their deed and stated that they illegally entered the administrative building located on the territory of the village of Atbulag, broke the iron bars, stole an electric generator worth more than 1,000 manats and sold it in Baku.

In the course of another operation carried out by RUP officers, previously convicted Mirgadir Gashimov and Parviz Guliyev were detained, suspected of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. Heroin was found and seized from both persons, as well as firearms with cut barrels and butts suitable for shooting.

According to these facts, an investigation is ongoing in the Hajigabul district police department.
