Medical examination of conscripts will be carried out by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection

From July 1 next year, the final medical examination of citizens called up for urgent active military service by district conscription commissions will be carried out by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, APA reports. This is reflected in the decree signed today by President Ilham Aliyev “On a series of measures to improve activities in the field of medical examination of citizens subject to urgent active military service.”

According to the decree, from July 1, 2024, a final medical examination of these citizens will be carried out to make one of the following decisions:

– about suitability for non-combatant active military service;

– on granting a deferment from conscription with recognition as temporarily unfit for health reasons;

– about unsuitability for active military service in peacetime, about limited suitability in wartime;

– about unfitness for military service both in peacetime and in wartime.
