Trial date announced for participants in armed incident at hypermarket in Baku

The trial begins in the criminal case of Azer Mammadov, Dayanat Gudratov, Ibrahim Ibrahimov, Sabuhi Gurbanov, Babek Isgenderov and Rovshan Ismayilov, accused of involvement in an armed incident in a hypermarket in Baku, Report reports. The case was sent for consideration to the Baku Court of Serious Crimes, chaired by Judge Azad Majidov.
The preparatory court hearing is scheduled for September 20, 2023.

An armed attack on cash collectors in one of the hypermarkets in the Khatai district of Baku occurred in March of this year.

During the incident, bank employee Samir Sheydayev received a gunshot wound, and Rufat Khashimov, an employee of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport who was guarding him, died at the scene.
