Ex-officials accused of accepting bribes will appear in court again

A cassation appeal was filed against the judgement against the ex-chairman of the medical and social expert commission No. 7 of the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation, Oruj Mammadov, and the former chief specialist of the Absheron district department of the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan, Munavvar Jabbarova, reports oxu.az. It will be considered under the chairmanship of Supreme Court Judge Shahin Yusifov. The time for the preliminary preparatory court hearing has not yet been announced.

By the decision of the Sumgait Serious Crimes Court, O. Mammadov was sentenced to 6 years in prison, the woman was given a suspended sentence. The Supreme Court said the accused had withdrawn their complaints.
