The number of marriages has decreased and the number of divorces has increased in Azerbaijan

The number of divorces has increased in Azerbaijan, Report reports citing the State Statistics Committee. It is noted that the district (city) registration departments of the Ministry of Justice registered 29,191 marriages and 12,610 divorces in January-July of this year.

Compared to the corresponding period last year, the marriage rate per 1,000 population decreased from 6.1 to 4.9, and the divorce rate increased from 1.5 to 2.1.
