Azerbaijani citizen detained in Germany extradited to homeland

The request of the General Prosecutor’s Office for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Seyidli Elchin Mirgasim oglu in accordance with the requirements of the European Convention on Extradition of December 13, 1957 was satisfied by the authorized bodies of the Federal Republic of Germany.

As the General Prosecutor’s Office told Trend, Seidli is suspected of committing fraud causing major damage and it was previously decided to bring him to justice as an accused, but he fled the investigation and was therefore put on the international wanted list. On September 23, 2023, accompanied by a Special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, Elchin Seidli was transported from Germany to Azerbaijan.
