24 kg of drugs seized from illegal circulation

Law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan have seized 24 kg of narcotic substances from illegal circulation, Report informs, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime in Baku have detained three people involved in the illegal circulation and sale of drugs. They are Agshin Amirov (born in 1988), Aida Nabiyeva (born in 1986) and Ramil Akhundov (born in 1979).

In total, 24 kg of drugs were seized from the detainees, including 20 kg of methamphetamine and 4 kg of marijuana. The detainees admitted that they received the drugs through Iranian citizens, whom they met on social networks, for the purpose of further sale.

Criminal cases have been initiated on the facts, and the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the detainees.
