Four wanted persons extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan

Persons who were on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Thus, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation satisfied the petitions of the Azerbaijani side to extradite citizens Farid Bolayev, Semender Khalilov, Panah Babayev and Ilham Meshediyev, who were on the international wanted list for various crimes in the territory of Azerbaijan.

Since reasonable suspicions were established that these persons had committed criminal acts stipulated by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions were made to bring them in as defendants. Also, due to the fact that the accused were hiding from the investigation, they were put on the international wanted list.

All these persons were detained on the territory of Russia and on August 23 were delivered to our country accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
