About 5 kg of drugs seized from illegal circulation

About 5 kg of marijuana was seized from illegal circulation in the Ismayilli region, Report informs with reference to the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Police officers detained Eldar Abbasov and Adjab Ismailov, suspected of illegal drug trafficking. A total of 65 cannabis bushes and about 5 kg of marijuana were found on them.

It was established that the detainees were cultivating drug-containing plants for the purpose of further sale.

Criminal cases have been opened on the facts, investigations are underway.
