Illegal import of medicines from Georgia to Azerbaijan prevented

Illegal import of medicines from Georgia to Azerbaijan has been prevented, APA reports with reference to the Public Relations and Press Department of the State Customs Committee (SCC). Based on operational information received by the operational and investigative department of the Tovuz Customs Department, a cargo vehicle driven by an Azerbaijani citizen who arrived from Georgia was inspected at the Red Bridge customs post.

During the inspection, 10,100 tablets of 5 types of medicines that were not declared to the customs authority were found in the cargo compartment of the vehicle.

An investigation is underway into the fact.
