Police detain serial thieves

Employees of the Narimanov District Police Department of Baku carried out a successful operation, during which suspects in a series of thefts from houses and hotels were detained, and large quantities of drugs and firearms were seized, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

As a result of operational activities, Aysel Zeynalova and Vusal Zeynalov were detained, suspected of stealing gold jewelry, money and mobile phones from three residents of the capital for a total of 278 thousand manats. It is noteworthy that A. Zeynalova used special clothing to hide from surveillance cameras.

In addition, police detained 37-year-old Anar Niftaliyev and 31-year-old Farid Zulfugarov, from whom about 6 kg of marijuana were seized. The drug dealers planned to distribute drugs to various addresses in the capital. Anar Niftaliyev, as kult.az found out, also turned out to be a musician, a famous rapper performing under the pseudonym RG.

Previously convicted Shamil Shikhaliyev and Shirin Ismayilov, who stole a moped worth 2,500 manats, were also detained.
