Attention! Political prisoner

The authorities assert that there are no political prisoners in Azerbaijan, and all are in prison for the committed crimes.

They are in prison but not for committed crimes, and on trumped up false charges for the desire to use human rights, to live by laws, not on concepts. This is a difference between the political prisoners and other innocent prisoners, but by and large they are all prisoners of the system.

Residents of Gusar region the devout Muslims Raghib Piraliyev and Sharafaddin Mahmudov are in prison for their long beards, short pants and an attempt to counter corruption.

Piraliyev and Mahmudov were arrested for this. Moreover, it is in a reverse order. First, it was announced their search for drug possession, then they had detained, “found” drugs and only after this had been initiated a criminal case.
