MNS prevented drug smuggling attempt

In result of the measures made by the MNS an attempt of illegal drug smuggling from Iran into Azerbaijan was prevented. It was confiscated 24 kg drugs, APA reports with reference to the public ties department of the MNS.

Nine men were detained for committing illegal actions. These are all Azerbaijani citizens: Sh.S. Huseynov, I.B. Ganbarov, V.A. Hagverdiyev, I.H. Dadashev, H.T. Hasanov, E.I. Aliyev, R.I. Ibadov, V.B. Amanov and E.D. Aliyev.

In course of their search it was seized more than 10 kg heroin, about 12 kg opium, 1.5 kg hashish.

Criminal case is initiated on this fact. It is lasted necessary investigative actions.
