New illegal actions of 21-year-old Ragif Mammadov, who was previously detained for fraud on the social network TikTok, have been revealed, oxu.az reports  with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Thus, R. Mammadov at different times stole a total of 2,133 manats from the bank cards of several people, withdrawing amounts of 300, 900, 50, 320, 125, 338 and 100 manats. In addition, it turned out that he took possession of another 6,000 and 310 manats from the cards of two other persons.

According to police, the scammer obtained his victims’ bank card information fraudulently through TikTok, after which he emptied their accounts. In total, more than 25 people suffered from his actions.

Investigative and operational activities on the facts of fraud continue. The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on other citizens who may have become victims of a swindler to contact the police.

Three suspects of fraud were detained, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is noted that a new form of cybercrime is observed in Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs warns citizens that everyone should be careful. Thus, on June 2, a citizen’s personal data was stolen from one of the sites related to trade and services, where bank card details were entered. As a result, 11,205 manats were stolen from the card and transferred to an unknown account. And on June 3, by deception and obtaining personal data of bank card owners, funds were stolen in the amount of 8,978, 4,800, 3,028, 2,050, 1,350, 1,014, 800, 700, 470, 220, 210, 200, 180, 100, 95, 73, 68, 48 manat, belonging to different citizens..

As a result of activities carried out by police officers, three suspects were detained in the city of Baku, who, by illegally seizing the data of citizens’ bank cards, stole funds fraudulently.

A criminal case has been initiated into the death of 5 employees of the Zykh ship repair and construction plant, Report informs citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It is noted that in connection with the death of 5 employees of the floating shipyard No. 61 of the Zykh ship repair and construction plant – Namig Yolchuyev, Tural Safaraliyev, Samid Mammadov, Teyub Agayev and Orkhan Shakhbazov, a criminal case was opened under Article 314.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (negligence resulting in the death of two and more persons).

Operational investigative measures are continuing with the appointment of the necessary examinations in the case together with relevant government agencies.
