The Yasamal District Prosecutor’s Office conducted an investigation based on information received about the illegal demolition of an apartment in the Yasamal district of the capital by officials of the housing department “İbrahim-Q”. As the prosecutor’s office of the Yasamal district told APA, serious suspicions of causing material damage on a large scale to Afet Guliyeva on June 30 as a result of abuse of powers by officials of the cooperative and the complete demolition of the house were revealed (address: Baku, Yasamal district, Alibey Huseynzade str., building 53, apt. .1) in a generally dangerous way, without her consent.

Based on this fact, the district prosecutor’s office is conducting a preliminary investigation, and a criminal case has been initiated under articles 186.2.1, 186.2.2 (deliberate destruction of property in a generally dangerous manner causing major damage) and 308.1 (abuse of official powers).

Employees of the Goychay district police department conducted operations against illegal drug trafficking, oxu.az reports with reference to the Sheki regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, as a result of the measures taken, persons involved in the cultivation of drug-containing plants were detained – Baba Babayev, previously convicted Khabil Salekhov and Rashad Guliyev. A total of 10 kg of cannabis was found in the courtyards of their houses. The detainees stated that they were carrying out agrotechnical care for these bushes.

During other events in the district, six more people involved in the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances were detained – Taleh Askerov, Gadzhi Kerimov, Mushvig Mammadov, Fariz Aliyev, Mubariz Mamedov and Rashad Bayaliyev. Heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine were found and seized from them.

Based on these facts, criminal cases have been initiated and investigations are ongoing.

As a result of the operation carried out by employees of the Bilasuvar district police department, Khayal Mammadov, suspected of organizing illegal trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, was detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the Lankaran regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, Kh. Mammadov was found to have 6 kg of marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as 178 methadone tablets. During the investigation, it was established that he purchased drugs from an Iranian citizen and agreed to deliver them to the specified addresses in Baku for a monetary reward.

An investigation into this fact is underway.
