The event was implemented with the participation of the Working Group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Drug Trafficking and members of the commission consisting of government agency employees, oxu.az reports with reference to the State Border Service.

The department noted that a total of 247 kg 785.761 g of narcotic drugs were destroyed (211 kg 690.27 g hashish, 19 kg 934.25 g opium, 11 kg 860 g marijuana, 4 kg 301.241 g heroin).

On another fact, 53-year-old Mirkyazim Huseynov, who had been previously convicted several times, was detained. Hemp bushes were also found in the yard of his house.

The detainees said that they planted the narcotic plants several months ago and during this time provided them with agrotechnical care.

Criminal cases were initiated based on the facts, and the detainees were taken into custody by court decision.
