A resident of the city of Ganja, Sadagat Jalali, complained to law enforcement agencies about theft from her home. In her appeal, the woman claimed that the neighbors, taking advantage of the fact that her grandson Aykhan Aliyev had psychological problems, stole things from her house, oxu.az reports with reference to Qafqazinfo and the Ganja regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The woman’s claims that her grandson has mental problems and committed the theft at someone’s instigation are untrue.

It is noted that a resident of the city of Ganja, Aykhan Aliyev, stole gold, jewelry, household and electronic items totaling 102,110 manats from a private residential building belonging to his grandmother from June 2 to 3 of this year and sold them to various persons.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Ganja Police Headquarters, and A. Aliyev, suspected of committing the crime, has been detained. During the investigation, some of the stolen items were found and returned to the victim. By a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against her grandson.

A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident in the Binagadi district of Baku. The parties to the conflict – People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Agadadash Agayev and MedEra hospital security guard Nureddin Jalilov – were brought to criminal responsibility as accused, oxu.az reports with reference to Qafqazinfo.

However, no application was made to the court to select a preventive measure in the form of arrest or house arrest. By decision of the investigative body, a preventive measure in the form of police supervision was chosen against both of the above-mentioned citizens.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on July 22, 2024, in a private medical institution (MedEra hospital), located in the Binagadi district of the capital, an incident occurred between security guard N. Jalilov and A. Agayev.

From the video recording of the incident, it is clear that the people’s artist threw an ax towards the security guard, after which a fight broke out between the men. According to official information, the ax thrown by the singer hit a stranger. 

On July 24, 2024, a trial was held in the Sabail District Court of Baku in connection with the selection of a preventive measure against a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Igbal Abilov, suspected of high treason, by carrying out instructions from the Armenian special services, oxu.az reports. I. Abilov lived abroad and was detained as a result of special operational measures carried out by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan. He is accused of high treason by carrying out tasks of representatives of the Armenian special services stationed on the territory of a third country – committing actions aimed at inciting hatred and enmity on ethnic grounds in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He has been charged under Articles 274 (high treason), 281.3 (public calls against the state, committed on the instructions of foreign organizations or their representatives) and 283.1 (incitement of national, racial, social or religious hatred and enmity) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The court chose a preventive measure against Igbal Abilov in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months.

On July 24, 2024, police officers solved 55 crimes registered on the territory of Azerbaijan and 7 crimes related to previous periods, Trend reports, citing information disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The information notes that a total of 115 people who were wanted were detained (including 92 people as debtors). 39 facts related to drugs were revealed, and 10 facts related to the discovery and seizure of illegally stored ammunition. 49 people were detained on suspicion of committing crimes.

The commander of the N-th military unit stationed in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Colonel Gaziyev Samir Matlab oglu, was charged under Article 341.2.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and, on the proposal of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a preventive measure in the form of imprisonment was chosen against him by the decision of the Baku Military Court into custody, APA reports citing senior assistant military prosecutor, head of the press service of the Military Prosecutor’s Office, chief justice adviser Firad Aliyev.

According to him, the investigation is currently ongoing and all measures will be taken in accordance with the requirements of the law.
