Several more supporters of Muslim Unity movement detained in Azerbaijan

Several more supporters of the Muslim Unity movement have been detained in Azerbaijan, the Interior Ministry said on Dec.2, APA reports.

As result of the operational search actions conducted by police officers of Ganja City Main Police Office, city resident Elnur Jabbarov, the supporter of the Muslim Unity movement, was detained. Two F-1 grenades and two pamphlets (envisaging the appeal of the Muslim Unity movement head Taleh Bagirzade) were sized from him.

Police officers of Kapaz District Police Office seized two F-1 grenades, two RGD-5 grenades, three cartridge clips, 57 cartridges, 18 religious books and 3 religious pamphlets (envisaging the appeal of the Muslim Unity movement head Taleh Bagirzade) from the house of Elnur Mehdiyev, the supporter of the Muslim Unity movement.   

Police officers of Sabirabad District Police Office revealed that Mohtabar Babayev, arrested on Nov.20, was involved in recent Nardaran incident and he received an automatic rifle from Muslim Unity movement member Rovshan. As a result of the operational search actions, one AKMS weapon, one cartridge clip and 38 cartridges hidden by Babayev near Khankechen village were found and seized.

Moreover, as a result of operations conducted by Binagadi Police Office, Elgun Akhundov, another support of the Muslim Unity movement, was detained. Two F-1 grenades and 22 cartridges were seized from his house.
