Court process on a case of mosque arsonists in Baku

In the Baku Court of Grave Crimes presided over by Judge Rauf Aliyev has continued court process over Namig Nasibov and Elnur Alakbarov, who tried to burn the mosque in the village of Garachukhur, reports 1news.az.

At the trial the prosecutor demanded to sentence N. Nasibov to 17, and E. Alekperov – to 15 years imprisonment.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for December 21, 2015.

Internet portal noted that Namig Kamil oglu Nasibov and Elnur Tahir oglu Alekperov were arrested on December 1, 2014by  the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan in result of the anti-terrorist operation.

Under search of N. Nasibov was found Makarov pistol and eight 9mm cartridges and E. Alekperov – Smith & Wesson revolver brand. It was established that N. Nasibov in August and September 2014 participated in the battles in Syria, under the control of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party. After returning from the Syrian town of Kobani, N. Nasibov and E. Alekperov created a branch of the terrorist organization in Azerbaijan – “Yekbun”, an illegal structure, which began to operate and recruit supporters. N. Nasibov and E.Alekperovym began to call in social networks holding the rallies in Baku.
