State Border Service detained 338 wanted persons

On November 2015, there were detained 40 trespassers of the state border, APA reports with reference to press-service of the State Border Service.

23 Azerbaijani citizens, three – Ghana, 2 – Islamic Republic of Iran, 2 – Nigeria, 2 – Tajikistan, 2 – Bangladesh, 2 – Pakistan, 2 – Liberia and one citizen of Kazakhstan and Iraq were among the trespassers.

On the green border were registered 6 cases of trespassing and arrested 17 persons, and 50 trespassers – in the Caspian Sea (29 cases).

In addition, in the course of activities to combat crime there were detained and handed over to the relevant structures of 388 persons wanted by the law enforcement authorities of the Azerbaijan Republic.

As a result of measures to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs in 9 cases was prevented border crossing about 2, 5 kg of narcotic substances.

As a result of measures taken, there were seized smuggled goods worth 383,000 manats, including three pistols, two rifles, 78 cartridges, 1 air pistol, 6920 pieces of fireworks, 10,507 cartons of cigarettes, 61,400 US dollars, 18,540 manats, various medications and other food and industrial goods (52 cases).
