R. Mirgadirov jailed for six years

Baku Court of Grave Crimes completed the trial over the case of journalist Rauf Mirgadirov, haqqin.az reports.

Under the judgment, Mirgadirov was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in a strict-regime prison.     

A state prosecutor in his speech demanded seven years of imprisonment for Mirgadirov.

It is noted that Mirgadirov was detained in Turkey on 19 April 2014 and handed over to Azerbaijan, where he was charged with treason (Article 274).
