Azerbaijan Border Guards detains trespassers

Azerbaijan’s border guards detained seven citizens of Bangladesh while attempting to illegally cross the state border with Iran on Dec.19, 2015 the State Border Service told APA.

As a result of joint search operations carried out by the State Border Service and State Security Service as part of measures against illegal migration, an organized criminal group was neutralized.

In addition, on Dec.26, 2015 border guards detained several Bangladeshi and Iranian citizens who attempted to illegally cross Azerbaijan’s state border with Iran with the help of an Azerbaijani citizen.

Magneum rifle, 26 cartridges, rubber boats and binocular were found and seized from the site.

Investigation is underway on both facts.
