Psychotropic medication smugglers detained in Azerbaijan

A group smuggling psychotropic medications has been detained in Azerbaijan, the Interior Ministry told APA.

The Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in an operation detained a group of smugglers. They are the Georgian citizens Heydar Rustamov, Arifa Rustamova, Azerbaijani citizens Javidan Huseynov, and Shahin Gurbanov, who had smuggled psychotropic medications to Azerbaijan from Georgia and sold them in the country.

The potent psychotropic medications included Rivotril, Xanax, Tramadol, Relanium, Lyrica, and other prohibited ones.

The Main Directorate’s investigation department has opened a criminal case on the fact.
