Prevented illegal import of gold in Azerbaijan

The customs bodies of Azerbaijan prevented an attempt to smuggle gold jewelry into the country with a total weight of 519.32 grams, minval.az reports with reference to the State Customs Committee (SCC).

“Azerbaijani citizen Balajayev Samed, who arrived in the country by Moscow-Baku flight, was detained in the customs control zone. When examined in his suitcase were revealed undeclared gold jewelry, “- noted in the information of the State Customs Committee.

According to the Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice, the total weight of all ornaments revealed in this person was 519.32 grams of gold of various samples. Among the items identified are 2 rings, a bracelet, a set of earrings and rings, 5 sets of necklaces, a gold bar.
