Russian troops seized part of Baku-Supsa oil pipeline

The Russian armed forces moved forward towards the village of Karapila in the Caspi region of Georgia. At the same time part of the pipeline went under the control of the Russians,  haqqin.az reports with reference to the Georgian edition of ‘Resonansi’ reports.

The Georgian State Security Service confirmed the information spread by ‘Resonansi.’

‘Russian troops marked the so-called border to the south of the village of Orchosani, near the village of Karapila and along the Tortla river. According to the State Security Service, this action is a continuation of the illegal process of so-called borderisation. The Georgian Foreign Ministry called this action a provocation by the invaders and said they would try to stop this together with international partners,’ ‘Rezonansi’ writes.

‘We very strictly assess this fact, like all the previous ones. We are working with partners to stop this process. First of all, it is a provocation and it is very important to stop this action together with the international community. This is the policy that we will actively pursue,’ said Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze.

Brigadier-general, military-political analyst Amiran Salukvadze, in an interview with ‘Rezonansi,’ said that Russian troops were trying to restore the so-called border that had existed during the USSR.
